You could dig deep into the BIOS and alter the configuration register setup (not an easy job) and then run wires from the appropriate pins to the floppy connector. Assuming, of course, that the alternate use (THRMO#) isn't critical to the motherboard functioning.
Of course, the pin may simply be NC, along with NDS1. Some probing might get to the real picture to see where those signals go currently.
