Hi all .. this is a quick post before sleep overtakes me.

FYI to those that don't know, I live in a small country town about an hour east of Melbourne Australia, been here 20+ years when not travelling Nationally or Globally

Right now we have our yearly put out your hard rubbish on the nature strip for collection. A few days back I had a drive around and picked up a few great things I really need NOW. (petrol engine powered Brushcutter, a reasonable long bar petrol chain saw and a great Branson, USA B-32 Ultrasonic cleaner (all working) plus some steel and wood I need for a job in the garden next week.

Today while taking a roundabout way to the shops, I noticed a narrow side street I had never noticed before that wound up the side of a hill, so I decided to take a detour.

Right near the top on side of the street, my trained eyes noticed something interesting almost buried under the pile of hard rubbish. I pulled up and got out and found the 9 items you see in the following pic.

I was quite stunned to see these so picked them up and put them in the back of the ute I was driving.

Then I went house knocking till I found the gent that had put them out.

He recently retired after servicing Computers especially Acorns etc for schools in my State.

He said these were spares that worked some were new, and that he has lots more bits and documentation (service manuals and schematics) to part with.

We exchanged phone numbers.

There is a lot more to this story but I am too tired to tell much more for now.

I plan to keep 1 or 2 good keyboards and 1 that's missing some keytops the others I hope will get to find good homes.

Unbelievable!, and really cool that you had been able to investigate their origin. I'm eager to know if they have more Acorn stuff.

I have wasted hours on a beeb. Shame the keyboards weren't better. They made your fingers stubs by the end of a long session.

Years ago the Keyboard crowd liked those, Dunno if they still do though

I hope to talk more with the original owner in coming days.
I suggested that he joined this wonderful group and post as he is retired and still has not just machines/parts & documents but knowledge

Nice find! Acorn (and many other computers from the UK) are pretty much impossible to find here in Norway. (Note: you can buy them - but the price is too much for me).
