Amiga Promigos external drive

My Amiga 500 now has an internal Gotek as primary drive. I use a Promigos branded external floppy drive as secondary. It works just fine.

I'm wondering though, internet says that Promigos as a PCB is an HD floppy interface for Amiga. Does that mean my Promigos drive has this feature too and could handle 1.44mb HD floppies as such too? I've only tried it with DD until now.

The Promigos HD floppy interface went into the Amiga's side expansion slot, so my external drive with a standard serial cable likely is just a DD drive. Fine by me, I was just curious. I like its on/off switch so it's not needlessly making noise when I'm not using it.
