Hello, all.

I'm letting go of my Amstrad Mega PC with original monitor and keyboard. Everything is tested and working. However the standard "sold as-is" disclaimer applies.
I'm asking USD$700 + shipping for the complete set. Payment by personal ("gift") PayPal only. Also listed on Amibay.

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING before getting in touch with me:

* The actual Mega Drive card has been removed, and NOT INCLUDED. Note you NEED the Mega Drive card for the computer to output video. You may not wish to buy this computer unless you already have a Mega Drive card to install in it.

* The computer itself is in great shape, with some light scuffs on the outer casing.

* The original BIOS barrel battery did NOT get a chance to start leaking before I clipped it out, so the motherboard is in perfect shape. I've replaced the stupid barrel battery with an external battery box making use of two AA batteries.

* RAM and VRAM both upgraded to their maximum.

* I've also replaced the original 40MB hard drive with an IDE -> CF card adaptor. This is a tested and working solution. However I will keep my CF card so you must supply your own.

* A 50MHz Cyrix 486 SRx2 "snap-in" upgrade CPU was added, to make the machine speedier. A 387SX co-processor was also installed.

* The keyboard's left Shift key is a little "muddy," and I believe the "Z" key is as well. Otherwise the keyboard works fine. Keyboard not shown, please ask if you'd like a photo of it.

* Monitor video and sound work fine. The monitor's ON/OFF switch no longer stays popped in. I remedied the problem by screwing a small key into the back of the monitor. You can leave the key in place over the button to force it to remain down (ON) or move it out of the way for the button to pop out (OFF). However as the monitor's power is provided by the computer itself, you can simply switch off the computer to switch off the monitor as well.

Thanks for having a look.
