The Multia was a mid-90's low-end Alpha desktop machine... maybe one of the first with PCI?
Anyway, they were notorious on many fronts, not the least of which were thermal issues. I've got one working unit, but another 2 system boards that are not. At least one of them appeared to have been suffering from Multia "heat death," but replacing that chip alone didn't fix it. I need to stop holding onto broken hardware, and as such, could use help figuring out if these can be saved. Is anyone experienced at repairing these and might be willing to advise me?
TIA!
