VAX 8200/8250 manuals
VAX 8200/8250 manuals
Hi stargeezer,
you will find three manuals online:
EK-83XUP-IN-001 VAX 8200 to VAX 8350 and VAX 8250 to VAX 8350 Upgrade Procedures
at:
ftp://ftp.mrynet.com/pub/os/DEC/vt100.net/mirror/antonio/83xupin1.pdf
EK-KA820-TM-003 KA820 KA825 Processor Technical Manual
at:
ftp://ftp.mrynet.com/pub/os/DEC/vt100.net/mirror/antonio/ka820tm3.pdf
K-RM-821BA-Y-0 VAX 8200 8300 Revision Matrix
at:
http://deathrow.vistech.net/~cvisors/DEC94MDS/821barvb.txt
Furthermore I have the following three manuals and diagnostic software on RX50s (still in the original box):
AZ-GN4AC-TE VAX 8200/8300 Owner's Manual
AZ-GN5AC-TE VAX 8200/8300 Installation Guide
AZ-GN6AB-TE VAX 8200/8300 Mini-Reference Manual
RX50s:
BL-FG79M-ME Diagnostic Supervisor
BL-FG80N-ME Utilities
BL-FG81L-ME Console Floppy
BL-FG84L-ME Formatter & Autosizer
BL-FI09D-ME VAX 8250 & 8350 Release Notes
The manuals are not scanned yet, but I can do so (it will take a while);
the floppies are already imaged (simh) and can thus be provided easily.
I even have two VAXBI Hardware handbooks here at the moment, but they're only borrowed.
The problem with these handbooks is you cannot scan them without cutting the spine off first.
Most collectors do not like you to cut their handbooks' spines off ...
Let me know how I can help you.
Just for curiosity - could you let me know the config of your VAX?
Regards,
Ulli
P.S.
I do not have any VAX 8xxx of my own yet, but a VAX-11/725 and a VAX-11/750, both still under reconstruction.
I collect and provide old (pre V5) VMS software for use with simh VAXen (see
http://www.9track.net/ for new old simh VAX models - this is NOT my work) and real VAXen.
