I was able to find this connector to build an apple II scsi card: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/325....order_list.order_list_main.40.72221802WyxTmI

But right now I am looking for a few I/o connectors for some 486 builds I am working on. Gameport and Serial (de9 male) specifically but it wouldnt hurt to find more. They can have the metal bracket or be loose. Anyone know where I can find these without paying $15.00 after shipping and taxes? I figure there must be a cheap source somewhere

Looking to not have to build them myself. I was hoping for something already made and neat as in the posted photo.

Sorry, pics have occasionally been showing up as 's-I1600.jpg' for me lately.

2 for $9

Because of the long-established nomenclature. D (shell size)-(number of contacts). Avoids mixups, particularly when differentiating between normal and high-density connectors. Also gives you an idea of the shell size on, say, a DB-13-W-3.

Sort of like calling a 50 conductor micro ribbon connector a "Centronics" connector. AFAIK, Centronics never used the 50 conductor connector on their printers (I could be wrong, but I thought that Centronics were all 36 conductor). At least call it an RJ-21 or a CHAMP connector.
I've also heard people calling the 24 conductor HPIB/GPIB/IEEE488 connector a "Centronics" connector also. <shudder>

Okay, I'll slip one into a padded envelope by the weekend.... Since I don't game, the only thing I ever used the joystick connector for was with a MIDI adapter--and those days lie in the dim past.
