Kind of specific topic but just thought I'd ask. I'm looking to replace my HD4670 with something more modern, for "light" gaming including Steam/Proton use. One of these has popped up on my local for-sale site for cheap. This seems to tick all the boxes for me:
- 2GB
- Cape Verde/GCN1.0
- Supports Vulkan
- 4x outputs (DisplayPort)
- Single-slot, no PCIe power connector needed
Most importantly to me, it's supported by the new AMDGPU-Pro, so therefore also the open-source AMDGPU driver it's based on? I'm assuming?
The typical benchmark sites don't score it all that much "higher" than the much-older HD4670, but I'm more interested in a feature upgrade than speed upgrade.
Anyone tried one, or something similar? How do the FirePro cards work for gaming with the new driver, any incompatibilites over the Radeon line?
