Sorry, you're too sketchy for me to trust at this point. If someone doesn't respond to a simple inquiry about some of the items for 5 months then how am I suppose to believe they'll send me an item if I buy it from them here.
You're not, nor would I expect you to. You may of course purchase your 2 series items elsewhere at your discretion. Anyways, the point is moot because this would be an in-person pickup. at a fixed price. There will be 0 doubt as to what you're getting. You will get a list of what works and what does not work. You won't need to sift through a pile of pictures.
This means photos of each and every piece with a corresponding entry in a manifest. You will print this out and bring it with you. And on pickup you will be invited to check & test each and every item. It would take time, and you'd need to spend the night at the local inn if you're from out of town. Right now each piece is being tested and verified operational and entered into a manifest. ~40% of the stuff is done and it is very slow going. I estimate 1 large pickup truck or perhaps a panel van. It depends on how well it's packed.
Know this: items that "worked the last time I powered it up years ago" is ebay-speak for "It doesn't work". That's not good enough. Nor is "The power light comes on", that's not good enough either. They will either work and do what they are intended to do or they will not work. There is no in-between. And each will be marked as such. If any minor repair is done, like swapping a ram chip or replacing a busted off capacitor that will be noted too. But since this stuff has been well cared for I don't expect much of that, if any. Even if I do so much as to clean the edge connectors on cards, it will be noted too.
On the + side this is all vintage material and is easy to repair.
I need to go back and review the thread. I'm not sure I've received notifications from the forum that there were replies. Until very recently. Anyhow.. that is that and that's where were at.
Things I have tested or retested this past month:
Video overlay card 1 in-op, other nib mib test ok.
Both Sider drives surface-scan ok.
I don't think 2 of the 3 profiles are operational, 1 tests fine.
4 of the accelerator cards test ok. the others are not tested yet.
I recently powered up one of the /// consoles. One worked fine, one worked after doing the "drop test", the other is a ///+ and should not have these issues - testing this week. The best thing with a /// series is to replace the sockets or solder the chips in place. IMHO
All the components are here for the syntauri keyboard. 100% complete. The 2 mountain music systems played the demo disks just fine.
A platinum //e is verified operational, a //e tests good, the platinum mainboards test good.
A II+ will be checked this week, maybe tomorrow.
The //gs was checked 2 months back, just fine. So were all it expansion cards, the 6meg memory card, several of the drives, the quantum drive, the external CD-ROM, the zip-gs, and the mouse cards(for the //e) test ok.
Out of the 4 or 5 z-80 boards, I recall many many years ago one did not work. The others will be tested soon and are probably ok.
1 computer-eyes works, the other is not yet checked.
The apple graphics tablet interface is known good from 15 years ago, it should be checked again.
The cat modems work, 212 cards work. Micromodems work.
Second sight ok too.
Silentype - ok
Mx-80 ok
Microbuffer ok
Videx enahncer (old and new version) ok
Function strips ok
Romplus reads from each socket.
Monitor /// ok
Echo + ok
Since the stuff has been well cared for it should all be good. I know the history of most every piece, and I know the person I got a lot of it from has been well versed in caring for electronic equipment.
That's about where I'm at with this stuff. I'll go back and review the thread tonight.
