I have acquired an old Apple RGB M1296 monitor. I have tons of PC equipment but no Apple equipment. Any way to test by converting a VGA signal to an RGB signal? Not sure if it's as simple as building an adapter or if this would require a full circuit to convert the signal.

Thanks!

That's a 512x384 fixed frequency monitor. It's incompatible with VGA signals unfortunately. You'll have to hook it to an older-to-middle-era 68k Macintosh.

You can probably get an LC / LC II / LC III for beer money, which was the machine that this monitor matches the form-factor of. Be aware that all these era Macs were in the middle of the Capacitor Plague, so you'll most definitely have to recap them to get them working.

Despite the connector being the same, this monitor will *not* work on a //c or //gs.
