Armstrad ppc 640 startup problems

Hello dear forum.

I got an armstrad ppc 640 laptop and when i turn it on with the boot disk in the right station it beeps and read the disk (all the light flash) but then turns itself off.
The screen stays black and when i press a key it starts all over, i can do this 2 times and after that nothing happends anymore.

First i thought it was the boot software on the disk but when i turn it on without a disk it does exactly the same.
I saw it was working on a foto before i bought it but the seller does not return any emails.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

First check with a multimeter,if the voltage from the power supply is OK.Then,try the computer with batteries or another power supply.If the problem persists you have to open the computer.

But if its a power suply problem then it wont startup at all would it?
It starts up and shuts down after searching the disks. Only no screen output.

Do you have it plugged in to a source or are you trying to run it from the batteries? If you're using the batteries it kinda sounds like they might be dead. If so, plug it in.

I have plugged it in. Never tried with the batteries.
Could it be the software on the disk because it aint running the bootup disk smootly.
I tryd the OS disk which is running nice but then i got the same problem.
