I am trying to get flight sim 5.1 dos to work with this video card. Nt shows the chip being mach 64 and with what I have learned thats what it is. Trouble is that flight sim has a selection for mach 64. How do I dumb down the bios so I dont need linear frame buffers wich is vesa 2.0 which causes the problem. Have tried microsofts workaround for this but the ati mach 64 dos vesa driver will not install since it says it is not neede?

You can use UNIVBE to disable LFB support, just as you can use it to enable that and other VESA features on cards. It allows you to toggle any feature like that.
There's also a tool called "NOLFB" that is specific to that particular purpose.
