Belkin KVM

Anyone know what the RJ11 port on the side of this Belkin F1D066 KVM is for? Its not mentioned at all in the manual. I would assume remote triggering but how would I use it?

I can't be sure, but I have a ATEN CS-104 Master View which looks identical (apart from case color and front panel graphic). The Aten's manual says the RJ11 is for connecting an external foot switch and shows the pinout: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/10804/Aten-Cs-104.html?page=10#manual
