I bought the xt to cf adapter for use in my 5150, and xt clone. Plugged in and detects perfectly....the included cf card has some version of 6.22 on it it boots to. I can change dir, I copied games to the card and can access/run just fine
But I cant access a: or b: ...keep getting drive no longer valid message
Nor can I fdisk, format or anything. Is there something im missing?
I can't install dos if the drives cant be accessed, so do I need to copy dos files to cf and install that way?
Do i need to do somethinf with the built in eeprom? There was no instructions with the card so I'm lost.

The same symptoms are seen on both machines ?

The loss of A: and B: is not normal.

If I visit the Blue Lava Systems website (www.bluelavasystems.com) and there, click on 'Products', an XT-IDE is the only product shown.
Is that what you have?
If not, point us to some information, e.g. a photo, so that we can see what we are dealing with.

I think I figured it out...
I copied some dos files (format, fdisk etc) to the bootable cf card and everything accessable and working. I had 6.22 installed on a different card so I copied and pasted bits of dos to it, and it works fine.
But no its not the xt to ide...its a xt to cf thats on ebay sold by Blue_lava_systems. Its not on their site at all for some reason

I bought the same XT-CF-Mini card from Blue Lava. I was fighting and fighting with my build of sergey's card. The issue turned out to be the CF cards I was using. Every card I had on hand, and a couple I bought and they all had the same issue, failing a disktest.exe /mediatest.

The CF card supplied with the Blue lava XT-CF-Mini fixed all my problems, I didnt need the adapter after all but it's nice to now have two.

As long as i use the card that came with it it works fine...but i tried using a 128mb one (with the copied over files from the Blue lava one) and i get invalid partition error.
But yea I have that same one and it works amazingly in my tandy rlx and xt clone. Hoping my 5150 bios lets it work too
