I have a BOCARAM/AT card fully populated with a fully populated addon card appended to it. The addon is 4MB so I wager the card is also 4MB (same number/size of chips) - this gives me 8MB. It's a 16-bit ISA card - can it be used in an 8-bit machine? Googling it gives me:

This page looks just like my card, but the one in the picture is 8-bit whereas mine is 16-bit.

Anybody got some info?

Zomg lol the exact one in a full-color ad:

Wow, if the 2MB version sold for $600 originally, my 8MB one would be worth a fortune then... *calculates*... $2400 card - wow!

It's got two sets of 8 switch bank things.. also two jumpers JP1 and JP2.

*comes to his senses and reads his own link*

Yeah.. so unless it just "magically works" it is 16-bit only.. Maybe I'll stick it in my tiny (smaller than microATX) 386 board, just to be ironic.

TH99 just made a mistake. It's definetly a 16-bit card. Hence the name Bocaram >>AT<<

I have an updated version of that card, the bocaram AT-plus. It doesn't work in 8-bit mode either. If you want one for an 8088, then you need the bocaram/xt

I've bought a few AST cards and at least two of them are 8-bit, so I'll be using one of those in my Tandy 1000 RL/HD eventually (when I get proper monitor for it and free up the slot...).
