Hey all,

I just pulled the trigger on an eBay listing for an AT&T 3B2/300 - my dream computer! Very excited. However, like all vintage computers bought on eBay, I'm approaching it with caution. I don't expect it to work from day one. It powers on, the diagnostic light comes on, and the seller says there are some activity sounds from both the floppy and hard drive. But they don't have a terminal to actually see what's going on. They *definitely* do not have the root password either. Or Unix installation disks for that matter!

My first question: After I make a console cable using this guide - what're the terminal settings I need to set my terminal to? Baud rate, parity, stop bit, etc?

Second: Would anyone be able to make installation disks using these disk images? More than happy to pay for your time and disks of course! There's some other software I'd like to use from that site too!

Third: what're some common problems with these machines I need to look into?

Thanks for reading; really excited to finally get my hands on one of these gems!!
