Can anyone identify this floppy drive?

I found this my garage while I was moving. I believe I bought it in a thrift store probably 15 years ago and never tried to use it.

I've never seen a an external floppy drive except on laptops(and obviously modern USB), so it has always intrigued me.

So its an external floppy drive for an Amiga? That's neat. If I ever get my hands on one I'll be happy I saved this thing.
