I've received my C1084S today, and had to realize that it doesn't have the Scart input.
Is it possible to add one of those? They have that little faceplate at the back after all - or is that just lazyness?

I am afraid it was a cost-saving way to produce only one type of plastic shells. However you should have two different DIN jacks, one for TTL and one for analog RGB? The pinouts can be found on the Internet and I think they're described in my copy of the 1084 manual if you can't find it. Of course it makes life more difficult if you need to rewire ready made SCART cables to some other analog RGB input, not to mention that you are stuck with RCA inputs for the CVBS/LCA (composite/S-Video) inputs.

As a side note, I have come to learn those 1084 monitors are a bit picky about plugging in cables into all jacks at the same time. You may encounter lost sync, bad picture and other problems even if you thought the switches are in the correct positions. Often you have to pull one of the cables not currently used to get a good picture from the video source you want to use. :-(
