Selling off some of my collection because I need to declutter and need the money right now. Offering my Compudyne N386 SXE and Compaq Armada 7400 for sale. I have never gotten either of these systems fully working simply because I don't have the time, know-how or tools to do so but they would make great restoration projects for the right person. The power supplies will be included. Asking $50 each (shipping included in the $50 total) but reasonable offers will be considered depending on the price of shipping. I am located in southern CA (Inland Empire). Please refer to the photos for the physical condition of the machines. If interested in either system please send me a PM.
Some additional information about each system:
Compudyne:
-The screen works but is not very bright. This could be normal but I am not sure.
-The floppy drive works.
-The keyboard works but will sometimes register multiple keystrokes or not register keystrokes at all.
-The hard drive (Conner CP2064) does not work but will be included.
-The CMOS battery is dead.
-The laptop battery is weak and sometimes needs to be removed in order for the system to operate.
-The battery cover is broken (although it will hold the battery in place)
-One of the screen hinges is broken.
Compaq:
-The floppy drive works in both the internal and external bays. I will include the external bay which is only for the floppy drive as far as I know.
-The keyboard appears to work.
-The laptop battery does not hold a charge.
-The CMOS battery is dead.
-The HDD caddy is missing but the adapter piece is included; however I cannot rule it out as the problem as I have never gotten a hard drive to work with this machine.
