I can help if you need an RK05 Unibus Ribbon cable (see photo)
Steve,

Thank you for the offer. The cable I am looking for goes from the drive to the RK8E controller. It has "Berg" insulation displacement connectors on one end and a flip chip board on the other end.

How many pins and what width. Here is a selection of DEC ribbon cables that may help.

The two cables are 40 pin ribbon cables terminated on one end with dual in line (2 rows of 20 pins) insulation displacement connectors. The other end is connected to the board as shown above.

Thank you.

If I make some of Roland's M933 boards than I can use 40 pin ribbon cable with "berg" connectors on both ends.

Steve,

I'm sorry but I'm a bit confused here. Do you have an M933 cable or do you have the parts to make one or am I just confused?

Pictures would help. Your first picture above is just a Unibus connector cable. Not sure what the 2nd set are.

Here is a picture of Roland Huisman's board that uses IDC connectors on both ends (note the DEC board as the cables soldered directly to the board [the first pic I sent you)]

The 1st cable is about 10 ft long. The connectors look slightly different to the ones in your picture.

The 2nd cable is shorter about 6 ft long. NB. The connectors do not have location lugs hence the “This Side Up” paper label.
