This is more of an announcement.
I've seen quite a few references to DEC paper tape basic. They all seem to reference the same binary image that lacks a lot of features (strings for one...)
I have sent to Al (bitsavers... Do I really have to say that?) A disassembly of paper tape basic. Before you tune out after hearing "dsassembly" Read on.
I sent a source listing to Al decades ago. It was exactly as DEC supplied. Really poor 10th generation xerox copy... Best $200 I ever spent ;-)
I also had a binary tape of a similar version. I have spent a couple of decades (on and off) disassembling the tape and comparing it to the listing.
What I ended up with is a commented source for paper tape basic. I added the conditional assembly for LSI11, strings, power on restart, line printer, and high speed reader/punch.

Oh yeah... several of my disassemblies are on bitsavers. I accept that as tacit approval they don't completely suck ;-)
