Hi,
Check your Email, I am sure you will have lot of replies including mine.

Take Care

Hi,
I am begining to think it might be a new kind of spam. I just got one here the other day from "ABIGAL just saying hi, new here." Or something to that effect. Checked with Google and found there were other groups with the same message, mass mailed to email in groups.
Kind of thinking this since they both have only posted one time and are new. And have not checked back in since the first post. But could be wrong. Wonder if any groups are getting hit witht these. So far all of the others I am on relating to the Apple II have not seen this. One group has been down for awhile.

Anybody know anything about it?

All I know is I got the same mysterious message from our Abigail person.

Very strange. I guess it is some sort of protospam or spam scheme in development.

Thanks!

It appears that this disk is actually a requirement in a scavenger hunt. I think most Vintage Computer Forums around the world are now inundated with requests for it

Well none of the other Apple II boards I am on have any postings. But yes, it is for a local contest for SC. It could get expensive if you have to buy every item.
These have to be Orignals, with no school duplication agreement on them. Even if it has an orignal Mecc sticker.
There is also a time limit on the items I believe. Otherwise one these people would not have me send it FedEx for next day delivery. They are now on or past 100 items which they have to find/get. Not sure how many more items they have to have to go.

Yes, they were buying, and not window shopping. But I think the that window is now closed for this item. I sold one of mine disks. But the shipping was more than I sold the disk for, and I had to differ and front the money. I do not think I will get burned. Not sure when it ends. But if you have to buy everything it could get expensive. It is over a 100 items that you have to have so far. Not sure how long it will be or how many items you will have to have, and when it all ends.
