Hi,

Another lot of equipment that needs to be disposed of I am afraid.

Free to a good home. To be collected from Gloucester (UK) by prior arrangement. I suggest a suitable donation to https://prostatecanceruk.org/. This is the charity that the company disposing of the equipment is currently supporting.

I do travel occasionally from Gloucester to Lancaster on the M5/M6. If the equipment will fit comfortably in the boot of a car, I could drop off by arrangement - but my preference would be for collection from Gloucester.

The following equipment is available:

2 off MicroVAX 3100 table-top machines. Each is equipped with a RZ26L 1.05GB disk and a TZ5 tape drive. The SCSI drive has been erased. One machine is equipped with a KA41-D V1.0 CPU and the other a KA41-A V1.4 CPU. The latter machine displays the message "?21 CORRPTN" when entering the >>> prompt. Apart from that both machines appear to work.

2 off printers for the above MicroVAX machines.

1 off Digital TS05 1/2" magnetic tape drive. This takes tapes horizontally and is self loading.

1 off Kennedy Model 9612 1/2" magnetic tape drive. This also takes tapes horizontally and is self loading. More buttons and lamps than the TS05!

Both of the 1/2" magnetic tape drive units have not been powered up. No cables or controllers - although I may be able to locate some QBUS controllers if I look hard enough in my four cardboard boxes full of QBUS cards...

9 off DECserver 200/MC units.
4 off DECserver 200/DL units.
3 off DECserver 300 units.
2 off Digital ThinWire Ethernet Single Port Repeater units.
3 off DELNI units.
1 off BICC DATA NETWORKS ISOLAN PRIMARY BRIDGE TYPE 1400-0 unit.
2 off BICC DATA NETWORKS FAN-OUT (AUI) units.
1 off BICC DATA NETWORKS FAN-OUT Type 1130-1 unit.
1 off BICC DATA NETWORKS REPEATER Type 1120 unit.
1 off CISCO 2500 series (2513) unit.

Some of the above are rackmount, some not. Some are 110V some will be 240V.

I will also have a MicroVAX 3300 640QR-B3 in a BA215 (CPU MOD KA640). This powers up to the >>> prompt and is equipped with an RA82 disk and a TK70 tape. I am required to erase the disk prior to the equipment being taken.

Also available is a MicroVAX 3400 640Q5-B3 in a BA213 (CPU MOD KA640). This also powers up to the >>> prompt and is equipped with two off RF30 DSSI disks and a TK70 tape (I am going from memory regarding the TK70). I am required to erase the disks prior to the equipment being taken.

I also have a 'gutted' MicroVAX chassis (Model VS60S-A3 in a BA213, cards removed and no front panel) with two off H7868-B Power Supply Units (the -B indicating 240V).

I also have various peripheral devices to dispose of and what is left of my stock of PDP-11 QBUS cards. I will post a list of these later.

All items *** MUST *** go before April 2022 - otherwise it will go to the recyclers I am afraid.

Direct Message me if interested please.

All of the VAX machines have found new homes :)...

I still have the 1/2" magnetic tape drives and the bulk of the DECservers etc. left. If no one wants within the next week or so - they will probably go onto e-bay.

Dave,

I have various QBUS tape controllers left (mainly CMD). I will be cataloguing these shortly (when I get back from my business trip) so I will give you first pick.

None of the drives are SCSI - so they need a controller.

I think all of the interconnecting cables I had went with Harry and the controller/drive he wanted - but I will have another look for you.

To be honest Dave I did make an assumption...

This beast is so heavy - and I didn't want to have an accident at work to pull it off the shelf to have a look.

If it is SCSI - all well and good. I will have a look for a CMD controller just in case.

Harry took one with him - and that didn't have a SCSI interface (well, we thought it didn't)...

Unless the one that Harry took was a different part number of course...

I will have a look for you when I am next in the office. I will take a 'humper' down into the storeroom with me...
