I've got this 85C460 based VL-BUS motherboard that I'm not getting a clock signal at the ISA bus. I've traced it to the chipset, and there is nothing there either. There are two clock signals going into it, a 33MHZ, and a ~14MHz. All tests are made at the chip.
The datasheet for the chipset states that the divisor for the clock has to be set in a register. I don't have an original BIOS for it. Tried the SS diagnostic ROM, and a BIOS from a SIS 471. Two modes of thought:
1. Perhaps the BIOS has to put some value in here very early in the POST to get the ISA bus up. OR,
2. The chipset has a default value, and there is something else preventing it from outputting a clock signal.
Either way the correct BIOS would be much appreciated. I've hunted the net but can't find it anywhere.
