DOS MS LAN MAN usage question ...

Whenever I've used MS LAN MAN to access a shared folder I always used "net use" to assign a drive letter. Is it possible to use the name of the share directly in DOS? For example, does "copy \\server\myfile c:\" work? I'm pretty sure that is not supported, but I've never tried it.

(And I'm only asking about pure DOS here ... not DOS boxes running under Windows.)

Thanks,
-Mike

I am not aware of any "legacy" DOS with native support for UNC paths. Might work in FreeDOS or SvarDOS.
