This is a demo of some new tricks your CoCo can perform using the DriveWire 4 software. The software is open source. Beta code and info at http://sites.google.com/site/drivewire4/

To use DriveWire, you need a bitbanger serial cable and a CoCo. If you have floppy disks, you can just add the DW drivers to your NitrOS-9 boot disk. If you have no drives, you have a couple options: you can play the loader code using your PC's soundcard or an mp3 player and CLOADM, or you can obtain/burn an eprom with the loader on it. DriveWire can also connect to an emulated CoCo running in a specially patched version of MESS, contact me if you're interested in knowing more about this.

If anyone is heading to CoCoFest, we'll be doing more demos and giving a presentation there.

Aaron,

I'm quite interested in getting the patches for Mess/Drivewire4. I want to get my development machine really cooking.
