eBay: IBM PC Music Feature

I'm curious, is there any reason to even get an MFC when (as far as I know) you can get the exact same results with an MPU-401 clone/TSR and a $50 Yamaha FB-01?
 
There was some for sale a while back, where one ended on about $700-$800 after a bidding-war. Still, this would be much better off in an auction with a decent starting price rather than with a buy-it-now option at the top collector's price.
 
From my recollection there have been up to 6 for sale on eBay the last 6 months. More than ever before.
 
These cards were overpriced and under-supported... I think only some old Sierra games supported them, so for most gamers these cards are rather disappointing. Even if you're a die-hard Sierra fan - the sound is not really impressive.
