  • From now on we will require that a prefix is set for any items in the sales area. We have created regions and locations for this. We also require that you select a delivery option before posting your listing. This will hopefully help us streamline the things that get listed for sales here and help local people better advertise their items, especially for local only sales. New sales rules are also coming, so stay tuned.

Sorry it still is not working.

I can post new threads, but cannot do anything else.

Looks like getting a lot of inquiries and some responses, so there is some interest in the old kaypros.

Yes, I do have 6 plus all sorts of suporting hardware and software.

I will not be doing anything until the Spring of 2008 probably and will probably use an eBay go between.

If there is enough "real" interest and committment, I will do a detailed inventory and post it, even with some digital pictures. I just do not want to waste my time if there is not enough real interest.

I quess we just have to wait for the system administrators to find out what is going on.

It may be some sort of virus. See my past threads for details.

I have done "print screens" to document what is going on. That may help. They can be faxed if necessary.

Thanks again for your patience!

Have you tried using a different browser like Firefox or OB1 (off-by-one)? That will let you know if it's an issue with your default browser whether it's a bug or spyware, etc (I would try OB1 since it's the least likely to use your currently installed plugins).

Your other option would be to put your email in your post and people can contact you off the board, just put something in the middle to remove so you don't get spammed to death.

Finally working!

Finally working!

John,

Finally using another computer, an old Compaq and Window Millenium - diffeent from the other 2 computers I was using - all seems fine!

I had no trouble with other sites using these computers.

Even Erik the webmaster was stumped!

So whatever - it is not worth it to pursue it any more - it is working.

What a great site, especially for such "special" upgraded / modified Kaypro "8"'s that are so rare - can't find them on the web + all the part I have - shame to toss them, but so far interest may be enough for me to further pursue selling if all - go an inventory + s/n, models, digital pictures, etc. and will post it soon.

Many thanks for your help, I really appreciate it. You know I am sure how frustrating all this can be.

All the best for 2008 and Happy Holidays - certainly are happy for me now that this is solved.
