Flight Simulator Scenery Disks

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on some of the scenery disks for A2-FS2? I check Ebay on a regular basis. So far, I have the S.T.A.R. -san francisco, and #3(san fran, los ang, vegas)

I know how to convert them over to regular DOS in case someone has orginals that they don't want to part with.

I'm also trying to find FS2 scenery disks. I have Scenery Disk #1 and have sent it off to a friend to have him try to duplicate it. What's amusing was that I was the one you beat for the disks you got from eBay.

What I find really strange is that there are disk images of the scenery disks available for both Commodore and Atari but yet none for Apple II. Like you I'd like to acquire the entire set of FS2 Scenery Disks.

Would there be any chance that I could get copies of those disks from you? I can send you a copy of Scenery Disk #1 when I get it back from my friend.

I wonder if the data format is the same? What if we moved the data from the other disk formats onto an Apple disk?

I guess it just depends on what format is used. If a universal editor was used accross versions which simply accepted data such as "start runway here", "end mountain there", etc. then I'm sure its possible. But I am a bit doubtful since the computers had different graphics resolutions, etc. But you never know.

I have the instructions and software from the old computist magazines and can easily convert any scenery disk into a disk image copyable with copy A. In fact, I just deprotected version 2.0 of A2-FS2 becasue version 2.0 had some improvements that I wanted. It seems only version 1.0 is commonly found on the web.

Just PM me with your email and we can exchange. When you get yours back, I can walk you thorugh how to convert them to regular DOS, if your friend hasn't already.

I've downloaded copies of all the Computist/Hardcore Computist magazines. Which one is it in? I'll look it up and send the info to my friend to see if it makes it easier for him to copy Scenery Disk #1.

Yeah I noticed all the copies of version 1 of FS2 on the web. I ended getting a copy of version 2 from eBay. Then got a second copy of it when I bought scenery disk #1. Now I've got 3 copies. A guy I know at work used to have an Apple IIc and some software. He got rid of the computer several years ago but still had the software, which he gave to me. There was a copy of version 2 of FS2 in the stuff he gave me.
