As far as I can tell is it's an C.C.I. IBM computer.Which IBM is it going into? The information I have is that the Mitsumi D359TS is a standard 1.44MB drive so nearly any other 3.5" high density drive would work. Some IBM machines had unusual requirements.
I am a bit confused by the CCI reference. Could you provide a picture of the computer? Do you know what caused the previous "burn up"?As far as I can tell is it's an C.C.I. IBM computer.
Can you suggest where I may find that driver? eBay?
You'll have to forgive me because I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to troubleshooting. I'm looking for a floppy drive. While troubleshooting other card issues, I plugged the floppy drive power cable into the floppy drive unit, while the computer was powered up. I noticed a spark and the floppy drive no longer worked. It worked before.Given that you wrote "driver" not once but every time - what exactly are you looking for? A new floppy disk drive, or rather a floppy controller?
Give us some more info about what you "managed to burn up". If all you need is a bog-standard 3.5" hd floppy disk drive, yes, ebay is full of them.

Ebay has a lot of replacement drives that should work in place of the Mitsumi drive. Depending on what the exact system you have, you may have to choose whether it has a front cover or the specific shape of the eject button. There is only so much information afforded by a label on the side of a drive.
Note that given the increasing prices of drives, you may want to consider getting a Gotek and working with images if you don't have a lot of disks to recover data from.
Thank you.Zooming in a bit, the model number seems to end in 5 rather than S. There are a few on eBay at the moment, and they don't seem too bad price-wise. I think this link will bring up all the results: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=d359t5&_svsrch=1
Just in case it does not, here's one example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325163335714
My apologies and in future, I will adhere to the advise and thanks for the floppy drive help as well. Please be more careful. We've mentioned this to you before. By now you should know you do not have an IBM branded computer. This matters around here since we troubleshoot a lot of actual IBM branded equipment. You can describe your computer as an "IBM Compatible that is branded on front with a sticker that says CCI". And then share that picture. That will help everyone know what you are talking about.
Yes, you can replace that floppy drive with a standard internal 1.44 floppy drive, which can be found on Ebay as well as other places. Many brands will work.
