If your 8088 based machine is being a bit poky, here's a relatively cheap speed up you can give it: NEC's D70108C-8 V20 CPU. It's been fully tested and is in excellent working condition. It's rated for up to 8.00 MHz operation. I no longer need it because I am downsizing. (Doctored SB16 card not included :p)

Asking $10 shipped to any address in the lower 48 States.

Between you, me, and the fence post, I wouldn't trust that those Chinese chips aren't just some remarked bogus crap. Just my unqualified humble opinion.
 
I don't think that quibbling over $2 between the price a member here is asking and the eBay price is worth posting about. In addition, I would much rather buy from people I know might share the same hobby.
 
As the guy who bought it, I'm not gonna sweat a $2 difference when it means buying from a trusted party in a knowledgeable community and not someone I don't know at all on the other side of the planet.
 
I didn't post it to offer competition or price quibble. I posted it yesterday after it already sold so if people saw the listing and are looking for one they would have a option since it already sold. It has nothing to do with price and you can buy from whoever you want to buy from, I was trying to be helpful for people wanting those chips.

I have personally purchased those chips myself and can VERIFY they both work in my 5150 I wouldn't link to something that is untrustworthy. Both sellers have about 99% good feedback so they're not pumping out complete crap. Again trust whoever you want buy from, but I know these work fine.
