Former Alpha HPC TOP500 Cluster with Myricom Myrinet and Digital Unix / Tru64 -- any experiences here ???

Hello folks,

one of my hobby projects is to get this former HPC cluster up and running again.
I have been told that this system once has been on place 80 in the TOP500 worldwide in the beginning 2000s.

For a place that high it is quite small imo.
16x Compaq XP1000/667MHz with Myrinet2000 clustered
2 racks total including the Myricom switch, excluding global storage systems they had there for other systems also
Atm i am doing some inventory stuff to check if all i need is here...

I'd like to know if here are some people who have also worked with such systems and still have some knowledge / tips / stories to tell ?

Around that time cluster where at their start - not like today where they are the complete solution. And those Alphas were FAST for their time
