Forum post longivity

It seems that any post on this forum disappears after a few months?

Am I correct?

Why?

The historical record of posts could be useful.
 
The forum holds a lot more posts than that. If you look at the bottom of thread listing, you will see a drop down list labeled Show Threads From the... which defaults to 2 months. Select it and change it to "Beginning" and click the Show Threads button and see threads back to 2003.

That is with the normal VB4. The mobile site does not seem to have an option to do the same.
