  • From now on we will require that a prefix is set for any items in the sales area. We have created regions and locations for this. We also require that you select a delivery option before posting your listing. This will hopefully help us streamline the things that get listed for sales here and help local people better advertise their items, especially for local only sales. New sales rules are also coming, so stay tuned.

1 Briel Altair Micro KIT (assembled), includes serial adapter & rear panel DB9 connector, RAM disk board (with RAM chip), case and battery case.
CD includes documentation (help can be found in the Briel forums as well).
REQUIRES 9VDC power supply (not included)

I have assembled this kit but never used it. It powers up that's all I can say.
It may need some DIY TLC to get fully working, hence the lower price.

$175 plus shipping to USA addresses only.

Please don't let the whole world know you are sending DMs. No offense meant, but no one cares (and such posts are even against the forum's rules).

I'm not telling the whole world they are intended for the person who posted the previous message. If you don't like the messages, don't read them.

If he hadn't posted here that he tried to send me a DM I wouldn't have known he tried and that hence I didn't get it. Unless you are staff, move along.

None taken, and at the risk of wasting even more bandwidth and time -- Timo's right, it is actually against the rules. I had checked the pinned "New Buyers and Sellers" post beforehand as I'm not a frequent flyer here, but not the "updated Terms and Rules" sticky at the top of every page. It isn't mentioned in the former at all, but definitely appears in the latter.

For my part, I won't be doing that again.

So I guess if a DM doesn't work (like his didn't), tough luck... good to know.

>>> I've just noticed that this stupid forum SW doesn't allow the original author to update the original post to indicate if something has been sold.

This is deliberate. The OP can always post that it has been sold. Simple solution. If you view the threads as latest post first, you get to see that it has been sold before it was for sale.

It is likely that the user's DM profile has not been correctly configured. Presumably, the user has not tested DMs before? In this case it would make sense to perform a test and inform one of the moderators for assistance if it is not working.

It would be better if users could edit their posts.
How do you fix a typo or change the original post?

Editing posts is disabled after 10 minutes. There was an issue in the past where someone rage-quit and edited every post they ever made to be blank ruining quite a few threads.
