the card has a
AMD K6 III cpu
nVidia Riva 128 graphics

some might say that is vintage...
I wonder if anyone has made support for using this card in non-Mac machines.
 
The gray area of computers that are too old to run modern software but too new to be "vintage" is much larger with Macs than PCs, due to Apple rapidly abandoning support for anything pre-Intel.
 
I believe out cutoff here was the P1 233 (or was it the PPro 166?). The K6 III is in that range of "old, but not vintage".

The description of the Pentium (First Generation) subforum says "For discussion of the first generation of Pentium based systems. (Pentium II and newer are probably off topic.)" It doesn't say anything about the Pentium Pro, although that CPU has had a lot of interest here due to its unique forum factor and scarcity, especially in light of how many have been scrapped due to their high gold content.
