Well, I just stuck a second floppy drive in my computer, and It didn't work. My old floppy drive still worked, but the other one just sat there with the LED on the whole time. I figured out that I could turn drive B: on in my bios, but that did nothing.

I have a floppy drive cable that has 2 connections for drives, only the one on the end seems to have a part that is twisted around, and the other doesn't. Does that make a problem?

I havn't got a clue whats happening, and hopefully, if I plugged something in wrong I didn't mess up my motherboard or something.

The drives are normally jumpered (if they even have jumpers) as drive B. The twist in the cable changes B to A. So, the drive connected at the end (after the twist) will be drive A and the other one will be B. Keep that in mind when you're setting your BIOS. Also the BIOS may have a setting for switching them.

In your case, since you say you can get one to work, a good test would be to try one at a time on the end of the cable.

you have the b: drives cable the wrong way, that's the only reason the led is on the whole time, happend to me alot of times.

Sweet, now it will work if that cable is twisted upside down in that very awkward way. Thanks.

I swear that I did try that cable both ways...
