While researching some archived media at work I came across this website and thought it seemed like a community that fit my interests. I have been a computer enthusiast since I was 4 and got to play around with and learn how to use my father's Acorn A4. I currently work as a digital archivist for a government agency. I build LED lighting fixtures and other random electronics in my spare time. I also spend far too much time experimenting with large language models.

I'm happy to see an actual forum again. It's not quite as nostalgia-inducing as Usenet, but still brings back fond memories of when I had a list of forums that I regularly posted on. Reddit seems to be where everyone goes now but it's just not the same.

Cheers!

Welcome. Yeah forum format beats FaceBook hands down.

Don't forget to add your location as there may well be members close by.

Discord has some great older computer related channels with some bridged to IRC channels.

Ahh, Usenet. Way to make me feel old, lol. (As I'm sure most of us are on here).
