Help! The gold prices is nuts!

Hello everyone

With the insane price the gold is taking I see more and more boards with their edge connectors snapped off and less and less processors, RAMs etc
I've seen a guy online selling TONS of mangled, broken, powdered old CPUs like 486s, Early Pentiums for their "gold" (((

if anyone has access or is close to recycling centers, metal dealers, thrift stores etc now is the time to save old retro hardware from obliteration

This is old news. Scavengers and scrappers and worst of all keyboard fetishists have done a number on the hobby. But again, this isnt new. Quite honestly its died down alot since the cost and materials need to reclaim gold is only for serious large scale enterprises.

I know that and you know that
but with news everyday about historic prices it gives more and more people bad ideas
They will come to the conclusion that it is not commercially viable to recover gold this way but they will only discover this after they try

And if people buy bags and bags of "gold fingers" from you on ebay you dont care, you just want to find more and more old computer parts to sell those bags on ebay

I dont think right now there is anything "historic" about prices... much worse financial situations have happened... This isn't anything by comparison.

Again. This is nothing new and for the most part id say its died down.. IT was never a financially feasible thing; gold reclamation.

So my advice is relax my friend.. Nothing is as bad as you think it is.

Hope you are right but I am seeing a lot of cut PC cards at my local recycling center
fortunatly mostly cheap AGP cards like TNT2 M64s and soundblaster lives but just a few days ago also a Radeon 9600pro

Most 386/486/68030/68040 chips have been melted down during the original gold rush years ago.
