Help with an XT-IDE Rev 4

Hi,

i have an xt ide rev 4 and its stopped working in a fashion, it sees the drives(ide and cf) and i can run fdisk and delete the partitions fine but it wont write new partitions to any drive that's attached.
has anyone had this issue and if so what was the fix.

So, one day, it just stopped working without you doing anything. Correct?

If not, what was the trigger? E.g. Moved to a different computer. E.g. Attempted to upgrade the XTIDE Universal BIOS (a.k.a. XUB). Etc.

If you run the 'DOS Disk Tester' (DISKTEST.EXE) at [here], does that test pass ?

I just now tried it. Unfortunately, it only runs at the DOS level (the high level), i.e. a DOS partition needs to exist. The desired tool in this case needs to operate at the low level.

If your XT-IDE Rev 4 has its chips in sockets, have you tried re-seating the chips ?
