Just essentially reliving my 'childhood', working on an Atari 800XL again (got when i was 5-6), and a Tandy 1000SX (teenager). I work on servers on a daily basis, and these bring me back to enjoying working on computers again. (I guess because things are simpler with them?). Anyways. Hope to eventually be a regular on here.. One question though.. When will my posts stop taking _days_ before they're 'allowed'?

Ayo man, you don't have the same kind of interests as I... except the servers... But it grates on me watching one thread after another in this sub-forum where nobody pays it any attention. As you can tell by the lack of replies, there's sure a community here, oh, wait, no, what's that word? It isn't community I know that much.

Get used to it, it'll happen a lot. Good luck and welcome aboard. I can't speak for the post approval or whatever it is, because I didn't have that issue when I signed up (though I had problems making signatures, attachments and avatars work for a while) but I suspect it will disappear once you pass some number of posts, it is likely a measure introduced to aid in detecting and preventing spam accounts.

Welcome to the forums! Guess I missed this or it had an odd mod time. You can ask them when it'll be lifted. A lot of the issue was users posting 5 things to get past the original filter just so they could edit their messages with spam links or an inappropriate picture.

Do you still have the systems? (Guess you probably said something about them in another post lol). What did you think back then going from Atari to IBM Compatible? I've only played with Atari systems a little but they seem like relatively good gaming systems. Never really used an ST to experience it's musical ability. On the bright side they seem to have a positive influence :) If I had known about the SIO2PC cable I'd probably have a lot more Atari stuff in my collection by now ;-)

Welcome Dan!

I don't get that. As far as I know, your first post should show up right away.

There could be a problem with the software though. It's vBulletin, after all. :) I'm seeing double post glitches all over the place recently.

Welcome Dan. Summit for everyone here.

The most annoying thing is when an OP doesn't have the ability acknowledge that what you've posted has been helpful more than a week later ;)

I bought another NIB Atari of the same type (800XL) and a really in good shape 1000SX. So I can use them again. Only change made to the Atari was video, so it looks better on a modern TV set.
