I just picked up an orginal Apple /// plus with the org monitor. Can anyone tell me the best way to clean this screen ? It's not glass...Thanks

How do I clean the screen ?

This is a tough issue. I've had several Apple /// monitors in various states of disrepair and none have been easy to clean. Apple put an anti-glare screen on top of the glass monitor. It's made of some kind of nylon mesh as best as I can tell and it's a pain in the butt to get dust and grime out of.
I'd start with a fairly simple cleaner (mildly soapy water used to dampen a cloth or sponge and see how clean it comes with that. If it's still too dirty you can try windex or some other amonia or alcohol based cleaner (you might want to dilute it some for the first try and definately test it first to make sure it won't do damage.)

How do I clean the screen ?
I used to buy, refurbished, and sell Apple ///.
The Apple /// monitor (as posted before) has a screen that has a plastic frame and a nylon screen that was welded to the frame. The only way I got to clean the CRT and the screen to my satisfaction was disassembling the monitor chassis. The screen was cleaned with warm water, a small soft toothbrush and mild soap. Extreme care in handling was taken because after some time under heat, the plastic frame would become brittle. The CRT was cleaned with monitor wipes, or a solution of distilled water and vinegar (some techs object to using such a solution).

We have an Amdek Color-1 which has been connected to our II+ for eons.
The Amdek came with one of those anti-glare meshes. After a few years of fretting with cleaning the thing, the mesh finally started to become detached.
So, one day we peeled it off and gave the glass a good cleaning with alcohol and Windex.
Looks fine and, now, we can clean the screen without a lot of hassle.
