Hi,
My friend gave me an HP 175a oscilloscope to repair. But this isn't what I specialise in and not really keen on playing with this stuff at such high voltages. He did have a crack at it and gave me a few spare parts which he had, capacitors and spare tubes mostly.
This is a hybrid scope using both transistors and tubes.
This is for PICKUP ONLY. I am near Guildford in England. A courier is possible but I wouldn't recommend it.
Obviously in tier 4 restrictions you cant do much right now. But if you PM me I can hold it for you until the government deems it safe. And no I will not leave it by a tree for you to "find".
A few things of note inside the scope:
There has been a little bit of a "strange" repair inside of it where he switched out one of the capacitors and while it is electrically sound now, Its mounting is questionable.
The BNC jacks on the front have all been replaced.
There is a bubble in the glass in the protective layer. This I believe to be a manufacturing defect due to the fact that it has not grown at all and is not characteristic of "screen rot". This is NOT a CRT issue he has assured me himself that it isn't as he has tested it and the tube according to him was surprisingly bright.
I don't want a huge amount of money for this It was given to me for nothing and It just takes up space in my workshop. I would trade for something though.
Unless you have questions about the scope which you think other possible buyers would find useful. Please PM me for price discussion/smaller questions that are specific to you.
