I fixed my ST225 with sticky tape!

If you want some MFM drives that spin just fine but that's about all they do just lemme know. Then you can have that MFM drive sound that you're missing. :) I must admit that their sound is quite unique.
 
When you think about how "throw away" today's society is; the reliability and longevity of our vintage systems are amazing impressive, at least to me. I think of the IBM 5150 that I have as my centerpiece, it's almost as old as I am. :)

Ooooh yeah. Takes me back to my Superbrain with its glorious 5MB drive. The noise was a wonderful productivity enhancer - whatever happened outside of the room, it would not bother me.
