  • From now on we will require that a prefix is set for any items in the sales area. We have created regions and locations for this. This will hopefully help us streamline the things that get listed for sales here and help local people better advertise their items, especially for local only sales. New sales rules are also coming, so stay tuned.

I bid but it went for way more than I expected. Somebody really wanted it!

Sadly it's getting pretty rare to see a 5154 (or any true EGA monitor) in decent shape on ebay. Still, this one sold for 2-3x what I expected.

Stick to your guns and be patient. You're right - they don't come up often, but when they do - if you look at Ebay sold auctions $350-$550 has been the going rate :)

Side question here. Does the 5154 have the same kind of (precariously) mounted power transformer as found in the 5151? The weight of that transformer in the 5151 may cause the aged/brittle plastic bracket to break apart during shipping. Just curious.

Wow... Just got the new caps to try to resurrect three 5154's. Usual "works 10 minutes then Zap-Smoke/ That's the easy one.. Now I have one Horizontal Jitter, and One Apparently Dead.

A challenge! I do have the schematics etc... Now I have to tune my head, which was 55 years old in 1995 :)

Yes, as I sit here tonight repairing that very shipping damage.
