IBM AT Keyboard, or Model F

It's not an IBM branded cord, it's a third party, unbranded. It's also missing one of the two clips on the SDL (keyboard) connector but that does not affect its usability. I've been using one just like it for over ten years with both clips missing without any problem.

I've got one with both clips, as well. Also, NOS. But it's a few dollars more than the other one I mentioned. Most of the members here are real cheeeepskates so I figured I'd mention the lower priced one first. :)

Hi

I tried the KBXT.exe in my IBM 5160, and does not seem to load or work. I have an AT 84 keys that I want to use with my IBM XT, and reading this treat I though I found the answer (at leas that does not require to buy a physical converter).
when I run KBXT.exe from C:\ it gives me an error. If I load it to Config.sys the PC will not terminate booting. Any one has any idea how to run this program properly?
Also any other way to make an AT 84 keys to run in an XT machine?

Thanks.Dani

Someone answered that same question that you asked in another thread: KBXT.EXE is for an AT class machine, not XT class.

You will need a physical converter. The AT2XTKB shown [here] is an example.
