As proof that even the blind hog gets the acorn once in a while, the IBM 5170 I finally got my hands on a year or so ago had this IBM EGA card installed. At the time I removed and stored the card since I did not have, nor felt likely to have an EGA monitor.
I had kind of forgotten about the card tucked away in an "out of control" collection until it turned up during "re-organization". Physically it is in excellent condition, no scuffs or scratches or bent pins. I set the switches for a CGA monitor and tested the card with IBM PC/XT Diagnostics in a 5160 motherboard. It is identified as EGA with 256K, and as far as it could be tested within the limits of the CGA monitor, it works perfectly.
As discussed recently here on the forum, this card equipped with this daughter card is apparently a rather rare item. My first notion was eBay naturally, since so much of my disposable income goes there. But this forum, whose members have been generous and helpful beyond words, has enhanced the enjoyment of this hobby for me a great deal.
So I want to offer it for sale here. I am happy to answer questions of course, and will hope for some offers via PM.
