I came across this IBM branded conference camera/webcam thing, and was informed that it resembles an Apple QuickTime Conference Camera 100, but has some differences in that it has a black front piece, no focus control, and a built in microphone, and obviously not branded/made by Apple. Has anyone seen this type of camera before? Noone else on other sites I've posted have seen it before, so I'm not sure of its history.
The box it came in declared it was made by Matsushita (Panasonic) and interestingly enough shipped directly from a PanasonicI
location in the US to the IBM Large Systems Computing Division. Was Panasonic the manufacturer of the QuickTime as well and this was some kind of special order for internal IBM use? Was it a product for IBM that never reached the shelf? Or is it just something entirely unremarkable and I just missed some info somewhere?
