IBM PC 340 bios upgrade

Hi Guys,

Im trying to flash my IBM PC 340 (6560-620 model) I want to add a 200mhz cpu, which only works with the latest bios on it lxjt27a.exe according to another post somewhere, and I want to get rid of the italian bios currently

The problem is, with the flash floppy created with the latest firmware it keeps bugging me that the version is not recognized and basicly doesn't continue. is there a way to force the update with the flash2.exe program?

Are you absolutely sure you have a 6560-620? The BIOS update screen shows a type of 400, which might be the sub model, a 6560-400.

Are you also sure that you set the BIOS program jumper correctly on the motherboard? You need to change that to flash a new BIOS.
