Hi all, I recently acquired an IBM PS/1 2155 computer and it seems to work, except for a persistent keyboard error. When I turn it on, the keyboard LEDs flash briefly, but the BIOS always halts on a 303 error for the keyboard.
What I know and tried so far:
What I know and tried so far:
- They keyboard works. I used it on another computer. It's a late 90s multimedia keyboard also made by IBM;
- I tried to plug the keyboard in the mouse port for the unlikely event that the indicators on the back were wrong, but that didn't make a difference;
- The CMOS coin cell battery was dead and leaked a bit, but I don't see any corrosion outside of the battery holder. I accidentally bent the clip too far so it doesn't make contact with the battery anymore, but I can't imagine that being the reason of a keyboard error. Maybe someone knows better.
