I received a PS/1 that did not start up. "Did" because I did a hack. When powering the system, the LED on the monitor just lights up for a second. But it does that as well without the computer. So I thought the trouble could be the monitor part.

I disassembled the computer and replaced the internal power converter with a 17 pins header which on its turn is connected to a power connector of a dismantled PC board. Attached an AT power supply, a VGA monitor, mouse and keyboard, applied the power and... an 161 and 163 error. OK, system error and date/time error, which means I have to replace the Dallas-RTC with one equipped with an external battery. Pressing F1 lead to this nice four-windows screen. So, so far, so good.

I haven't had much troubles with power supplies and in the rare cases I had, I simply replaced them. But knowing no source for a replacement, it seems I have to repair it. Are there any schematics available?

Any info is welcome. Many thanks in advance!

Edit: just popped up, the monitor can also be the culprit. So I have to check that option first.
